After a very successful career, Mr. Sillars is now retired. His clients will be handled by Stamm Law Firm.
Robert G. Sillars was Senior Counsel to the Stamm Law Firm.
After graduating from Macalester College with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Economics, Mr. Sillars obtained his Juris Doctor from the Case Western Reserve University School of Law. At Case, he served on the Editorial Board of the International Law Journal. He began his practice in Clarence upon admission to the Bar in 1975.
He is a member of the Bar Association of Erie County and the New York State Bar Association.
Mr. Sillars has been a guest lecturer at the State University of New York at Buffalo Law School. He has been a frequent faculty member and author for seminars sponsored by the National Business Institute for attorneys, accountants and financial professionals. The National Business Institute Seminars have focused on issues related to Estates and Elder Law.
Mr. Sillars served as Clarence Town Justice for over 20 years.
Mr. Sillars has been actively involved in the community in many ways. He is a Clarence Rotarian, having first joined in 1976. He is a member and Elder of the First Presbyterian Church of Clarence. He presently serves at the regional level as a co-chair of the Presbytery of Western New York’s Committee on Ministry and on several Presbytery Task Forces. He previously served as the Moderator of the Presbytery of Western New York.
In the past, Mr. Sillars has served as President of the Clarence Chamber of Commerce, Clarence Jaycees, Clarence Youth Center Board and the Claremount. He has served as a member of many other boards and organizations.
Mr. Sillars is Trustee of the John Roffo Oishei II Charitable Trust.
